The email if you wish to RSVP to the Launch Party and Open House is email@example.com.
Sorry for the confusion...hope to see lots of people there - it will be fun and there will be Prizes!
Hey There, Hi There, Ho There!
Can you tell we just returned from that Magical Place Disneyland? That's right - we had a blast - always good to become a kid again.
Now, here is a HUGE announcement!
The New 2016-17 Stampin'Up! Catalog goes live to EVERYONE June 1, 2016. If you would like to order before the Open House/Launch Party, just let me know. June 1st I will be providing everyone the new JUNE Hostess Code. If you would like a catalog, please contact me via Facebook, or Comments here, or my email listed above and I will get one to you.
For now, we have 6 more days to get the Retired Products or order from the 2015-16 catalog. That is SIX days folks! Not much time left, so I encourage all of you to look at the Stampin' Up! site by clicking on "Shop Now" or "Let's Shop" on this page and on the left hand column you will see "Retiring Products". Click there and it will display all the products we will lose May 31st. Some are on sale so please take advantage of it! By the way, some of my favorite products are retiring 😩 The lace doilies, the 2 way glue are two of my favorite products, so I have been stocking up on them. Even though there will be new choices, I have my favorites! If you do order...use the May Hostess Code when you check out.
Well that is all for today! I will post again soon, because I am going to have fun "Creating With Paper!"
As I said in an earlier post, as crafters, we have to be ahead of the game or at least the seasons. I am still working on Patriotic ideas, but wanted to share with you my Straw Wreath and the Star which I did some embellishing on.
Here are both of them with our traditional Pop display...
The Straw Wreath (which usually connotates a bale of hay or straw!) was so fun to make. It takes an average of 45 straws, but I think I squeezed in 49. The most fun was collecting so many different patterns on these drinking straws. Some are from past years, and many found this year. A small MDF ring is the middle on which I glued the straws (after painting it navy blue). Then you can embellish as you wish! I am a "medallion" fan, so made a bunch and added a few other little items.
The Star will soon have it's partner to display. But I have so many other things to do at the moment, that will be in June.
Here is a card I made for my groups challenge for this week...staying in the Patriotic Theme..
Word to the wise - May 31st is the LAST day to get anything from the Occasions Catalog. Also the LAST day to get anything from the 2015-2016 catalog AND the Retired List. For those of you getting a catalog from me, I will be mailing them out the last week in May, since they aren't "live" until June 1st.

Well, that is it for me. Hope you all have a wonderful week - we are at Disneyland for several days, having the time of our lives!
Remember to be kind to others and make time to enjoy "Creating With Paper".
I know you are probably all thinking - Patriotic? Whaatt? It is early, yes, but as crafters we have to be "ahead" of the holidays in order to get everything done we want to get done! Don't you agree?
So, lately, in my classes at Michael's we have been engulfed in Patriotic projects and I must say everyone's is turning out absolutely lovely! Here is a photo of my "works in progress".
The three oval vignettes will become a tabletop banner and the wooden star is one of a pair that will hang or be placed on our mantel. Must give kudos and thanks to my fellow demonstrator, Cathy Gillick, for inspiration and teaching us so many wonderful techniques to use on cards and 3d projects. I am finishing up a "Straw Wreath" as in drinking straws, not hay straw. I will post that as soon as it is done.
That is it for now...remember to take time to have fun "Creating With Paper".
Hey There, Hi There!
Hope all of you Moms out there had an absolutely fabulous day! As a Grandmother of three little lovelies, I did!
We took a much needed break - had the Granddaughters and family down for 5 days, and then hubby and I took off and went to Las Vegas to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. We had so much fun those two weeks. Got to have Spa day with all the girls and women of the family, visited the Safari Park in Escondido - formerly San Diego Wild Animal Park, got to play games with the girls - oh my gosh, we were having an absolute blast!
As they drove off, we left for the airport for our 4 day stint in the fine city of Las Vegas. We took a helicopter ride that took us over Red Rock Canyon and then back over the Strip. We did the VooDoo Zip Line at The Rio Hotel (that is where we stayed), had a fabulous dinner at the VooDoo Steak House, visited Madame Tussaud's wax museum, went to TI, Venetian, Palazzo, Gold Coast, The Palms, and a couple other hotel/casino's. All in all, we had a super time.
Now, back to the normalcy of life, right? First order of business is a bit of Stampin' Up! updates for you. The new 2016-2017 catalog is OUT! Yippee Skippee! It is awesome. BUT, unless you are a demonstrator (which is easy to be - just click on "Join Me") you won't be able to see it until June 1st! Here is a sneak peak of the front cover though!
The Retired List of Products is still active until May 31, 2016. To spark your memory, Click on Here to view products online. Some of the products are already out of stock, but hopefully the ones you want will still be available! Plus, remember to use the Hostess Code to qualify for a free gift at the end of May! This code is good for any orders you place on my site through May 31st!
Now, here is a project I did today for a wonderful Stampin' Up! group I belong to..it was our weekly challenge, and since I hadn't been participating for about three weeks, I thought I better do one. I didn't have time to "stage" the picture, and I am afraid that many of the items used are retired. So sorry about that, but I wanted to use up some of my older DSP so that I can make room for new things! Can't wait to get those new products!
Well, that is all for now! Please, if you have questions or comments do not hesitate to email me or comment - good or bad - I want to hear from you! I hope you have a wonderful week and remember to make time for "Creating With Paper!"
