Cards - All Occasions

Luck O' The Irish!

Dia dhuit!  (That is hello in Irish!)

Even though I am Swedish and French I like to embrace the Irish holiday.  As they say, everyone is Irish for one day in March!

Let's cover the latest news first!  As you probably know, when we have Sale-A-Bration, there are TWO releases.  The second release is available March 3rd!  To see the 2nd Release Sale-a-Bration brochure Click Here

Both releases are good through March 31st.  Purchase $50.00 and you qualify for one of the free items marked with the "Free with $50 purchase" logos.  If you purchase $100.00, there is the logo for $100.  Purchases can be made from the Annual Catalog and the Mini Occasions Catalog.  If you need either of these catalogs and the Sale-A-Bration booklet let me know (note: my order for the 2nd release has not come in yet, so please use the link above).

Our February Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering was so much fun!  We did a card camp on a smaller scale.  I don't know how people handle the 15 card camps.  I can barely make up 5, so that is what I stick to.  My team and guests like the smaller version, so that helps ease my mind.  Here are the cards I made as the samples.

Credits for my CASEing...

The Lily Pad was CASE'd from Angie Juda.  She did it in the Subtle papers and so I just changed it up using the Lily Pad paper.  Thanks Angie!
The Iris - thanks to Shannon at  I loved this one so much, I had to CASE it completely.
Tropical Oasis Die Cut Window - Thank You Wendy Cranford for your super video on how to make this card.
The Honey Bee card, I partially cased from my friend Tracie Salo when we did a swap, but I also saw a similar one from Karen Ksenzahovic that was similar.  So Thanks to Tracie and Karen for the sweet honey inspiration.
The Poppy card was also a CASE from my friend Mary Beth Guzzo in the same swap with Tracie and others.  Just used some different Poppy paper.  Thanks, Mary Beth!

Here are some other pictures taken that day..

My dear friend Nee always takes the most beautiful pictures and puts them in Pic Collage for me.  I really should learn how to do them but since Nee is here, I will leave it up to her!  :)

Our next Gathering is Sunday, March 22nd.  Come join us when we are going to do Easter projects.  What will they be???

Well, that is all for today.  I have some other cards to post but it will have to wait for a few days.  Be kind to one another, and take some time for Creating With Paper!

New Year, New Products, New Ideas!

Hello, Hello, Hello!

I didn't fall of the face of the earth (at least yet), but gosh we have been sooo busy the last three months.  Those of you that have stuck with me during my blogging block, thank you!  I am back now and hope to start getting the mojo going!

I wanted to share some Stampin' Up! news with you all.  The new Occasions catalog is live now and of course along with it comes Sale-A-Bration!  You can click on the pictures of the catalogs in the sidebar to see all the NEW and exciting products that are out.  Sale-A-Bration is such a great thing...purchase $50.00 from the Annual or Occasions Catalogs and get a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!  There are some very cute things in be sure to look at all of the new products, but don't forget about the Annual Catalog!  Sale-A-Bration goes through March 31st, and the Occasions is good until the new Annual Catalog comes out in May!  I can't imagine what that will be like!  More new products!  Yippee!

I just recently received some of the New Occasions products, so I am going to get right in and start using some of them so I can show you some possibilities!  For now, enjoy this cute video from Stampin' Up! introducing the new catalog.

Well, that is all for today...I will see you soon.  Until then, be kind to one another and remember to make time for Creating With Paper!

June is Busting Out All Over!

After a long six months of family medical issues, I am proud to be coming back into the groove of my favorite thing to do!  Papercrafting!!!  I have been steady at it, but haven't had the time to post anything on my blog.

Well, guess what June 1st means?  The New STAMPIN' UP! CATALOG is LIVE!  WooHoo!  Many of you are on my mailing list, so you should have received yours by now.  What a great catalog, isn't it?  If you would still like one, let me know!  I will gladly get one to you!  You can go to the Let's Shop tab if you have your catalog already - shop til you drop!  Ha!

My catalog launch party is June 10 here at the Shedoudy residence.  If you are a local San Diegan and wish to come, let me know and I will include you in the invite!  I placed my big order on June 1st so hopefully I will receive my "stash" in time to make some pretty awesome items to show off some of the new bundles, papers, inks and embellishments!

In May, we had our Craft Day on the 20th.  We made 5 different cards using the Share What You Love Designer Paper (page 177 in new catalog).  I used examples from someone on the Demonstrator Planning Site and I apologize, I forgot to get her name.  Here were the samples I made from her examples.  Whoever you are, THANK YOU for the great inspiration! Her work was much more detailed - she embossed many things.  I kept it pretty simple for my class.

Class sample 1     Class sample 2     Class sample 3
Class sample 4     Class sample 5

Here are pictures of my gals hard at work.  I love these "candid" photos...they sometime look so serious, but really we had a lot of fun!  Note the wine???  Ha!

I showed them all about the new ink pads and the ease of opening..they all loved it.  I only had the in-colors at the time, so we had to use some of the old ink pads so still had the frustrations.  I am glad they are so much easier to open and close, but will have to wait to get all new ones.

So, I will let you all go now and Order, Order, Order from our fabby new catalog.  Have fun!  When you do place your order, remember to use this months Hostess code if your order is under $150.00.  If it is over that amount, you will earn stampin' rewards, so take advantage of those!

Until next time, be kind to one another and try and always make time for "CREATING WITH PAPER"!

More "bloomin'" flowers!

Greetings from hot and steamy (yes, I said steamy - for us at least) San Diego!

The weather is more like the South or East this and sticky!  Even the kitties are going in slo mo!  Flowers are still my favorite at least for this month!  So, I did another Orchid card AND a card that I CASE'd from Laura Kant at  I made this one for a birthday of a dear friend...(hope she doesn't read this issue of the blog (yikes)..

Here is the 2nd Orchid card ~ I am in love with Melon Mambo and the new Lemon Lime Twist.  At first I wasn't sure if it would be too neon, but it isn't - it is gorgeous!

TGIF! The final three today!

Happy Friday!

Even being retired, there is something magical about Fridays!  I suppose it will always be a day of excitement for the weekend, even though my husband and I say that sometimes it feels like every day is Friday.  Hey we certainly aren't knocking the retired life.  We love it!  He is semi-retired, but we consider it being retired.  Freedom is what we cherish the most.

So today, I am showing off the last three Display Board cards from my Catalog Launch Lunch that I held last Sunday.  It was truly a wonderful day, and I know I have said it before, these ladies are my life line!  Everyone of them is worth their weight in gold.  Love to you all!

My first card is another Catalog Case.  I really have taken advantage of the ideas in the catalog because for my Launch, the ladies were looking at the catalog.  This gave them an actual card to touch and feel.  I called it my Wedding Wishes card, and you will see why...I am not that original!  Ha!
Wedding a
Wedding b
It was an easy card, but I think it turned out lovely.  I hadn't used the Detailed Floral Thinlits in a while, so my cutting wasn't as precise as I would have liked.  But when you are under pressure, you stick with what you get!  (smiley face emoji!)  Here are the supplies:

Next card I called my "Miss Piggy" card.  This stamp set caught my eye at On Stage in April.  Pigs are cute and this one just made my heart smile.  My inspiration was Rose Grunewald of Country Cards by Rose.  She displayed the card on pinterest, and I felt the sentiment is very appropriate for women today.

Piggy a
Piggy b
We women haven't hit the glass ceiling yet, but I see it in the near future!  This little Miss Piggy kept up her hope and she did it!  I got some Watercolor Paper and attempted my artistic ability with the inks.  I will get better with time.  Her supplies:

The ribbon is Pool Party Woven Ribbon that has been retired.  I still love it, but other colors would go just as nice.

Next, I made a Birthday Shadow Box card.  I showed one in my blog dated 5/24/17.  They are so unique and easy once you get your measurements right.  This one I am showing all 3 layers..I have to say, the flower and stem and the Happy Birthday on the front are from the retired stamp set That's The Tag.

As I said before, I want to make more of these - there are so many possibilities.  Splitcoast Stampers has a great tutorial for making the box.  My original idea came from Melanie Joyner at Joy-Stampin in Denmark.  Here are the supplies for this sweet kitty happy birthday:

Well, that is all of the cards I made for my Display Board.  Whew!  I was a busy bee the week before my Launch.  Busy, yes, but it is exactly what I needed to get my mojo back.  Thank goodness.  If you wish to recreate any of these cards, click on the picture of the supply you need and it will take you directly to my store.  If you order less than $150.00 worth of product, be sure to use:

If you order more than $150.00 you will earn Stampin' Rewards and they start at $15.00 worth of product for your $150.00 purchase.

So, next week I will share more cards that I am going to work on over the weekend.  Until we meet again, be kind to one another and make time for Creating With Paper!

Hump Day and the next sample revealed!

Good Morning!

Today is going to be a busy day for us, so I wanted to get on early and post the next sample card from my Catalog Launch Lunch Display Board.  Hope I am not boring you all.

The card I am showing today is called "Just Breathe".  Lately, we all have experienced some trying times and it probably will do us all good to relax and "just breathe".  I fell in love with this Color Theory Suite (bundle) the moment I saw the beach chair, but what was even better, it comes with a cute, cute, cute Adirondack chair in the Thinlits pack.  I will show you a card with that later this week.

Here are the products used for this card.  Just click on the picture of the item you need to CASE or make this card.  Share with us your creation.  That is what is so fun!  We get great ideas from others (other demonstrators, Pinterest, etc.) and we just get on the inspiration train!  Woo Hoo!  I saw several cards similar to this one on Pinterest, so Thank You to all who put them on Pinterest.  You all are my inspiration!

Remember to use:
June 2017 hostess code
If you order more than $150.00 don't use this months Hostess Code - you will earn Stampin' Rewards starting at $15.00!

So, once again, stay tuned to see more of the samples for my Catalog Launch Party.  It is nice to be able to share them as I know how hard we all work before our launches.  It is a time consuming process but guess what?  We all love it!

Until kind to one another and make time for Creating With Paper!

Sharing Display Board samples from Catalog Launch

Hi Hi!

Happy Tuesday!  Monday was a day of rest (most of it) for Catalog Launch Lunch took it out of me.  I think the excitement, preparation and anticipation of the event just tuckered me out.

I wanted to share with you some of the sample cards I made and thought that just one a day would be a good thing.  The first one I am sharing I want to give a shout out to the incredible Billie Moan of Rambling Rose Studio.  Billie shared this card with everyone and I was just enamored with it.  It was a must do for my Launch Party.  So, Thank You big time Billie!
Daisy girl
Daisy girl inside
As you can see from the "front" photo, I posted a list of items used and the page number in the catalog.  My big disappointment was the daisy punch being unavailable until June 26th (hopefully), so I just fussy cut them out.  They turned out fine.  You can't really see the Wink of Stella Shine on the daisy and the little girls hair, but it is there and may I say an added bit of glam for her.

Here is an official list of Products used on this card so if you wish to duplicate it, just click on any of the items to order them

If you wish to order these or any other items from the new Annual Catalog be sure to use:

If your order is over $150.00 don't use the code because you will earn Stampin' Rewards!

Well, tune in tomorrow for the next card sample displayed.  Until then, be kind to one another and make time for Creating With Paper!

Creating With Paper and Holidays!

Greeting fellow Peeps!

What a summer this has been so far!  I am loving all the activities and fun we are having.  Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather...I hear it is going to get hot next week!  Ugh!  For those of you in other parts of the country, take care!  We keep hearing of these awful storms, with flooding and winds...just a nightmare.  Be safe all!

First of all today, I just wanted to touch base with you all on the beautiful Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set that is being offered ONLY this month!  August 2-August 31 you can get the bundle (stamp and die), or the stamp set and die separately.

This set is absolutely lovely and I featured just one use of it in my last blog.  Here are a couple more pictures of how I used it.  Note: The Designer Paper is "retired".

This next one is a favorite of mine...I inked the edges to give it a vintage look.  The vanilla paper is something I had in my stash that I only had a bit left of, so I used it... Very vanilla would do just as nicely.

August Hostess Code

I am going to post more on Tuesday, so keep an "I" out!  (Ha!)

Have a great week, and remember to make time for "Creating With Paper!"

Michelle Shedoudy is Creating With Paper!

Greetings All!

Hope everyone is having a fun filled, cool (ha!) summer!  Ours has been unbelievable!  So much fun with family and friends!  But, the months just keep going by in the blink of an eye!  I can't believe it is going to be August on Monday!  Yikes.  Back to work on blogging, creating and having get togethers!  The Holiday season will soon be here!

Today, I wanted to share with you my examples of the Limited Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set and the coordinating Beautiful Branches Thinlit Dies.  These two items will only be available to you August 2-August 31 or while supplies last.  This comes as a bundle (stamp set and thinlits) for $52.00 and it is gorgeous!  It is also available separately for those who haven't invested in the Big Shot yet (or another die cutting machine).  And why haven't you?  The stamp set alone is $27.00 and the Thinlits will run you $31.00.  You obviously save on the bundle, but I know many who are just getting into card making don't want to invest in a piece of equipment unless you plan to use it many times.  Believe me, you will though!

Here are the three that I made today~

My inspiration here was from Dena Rekow of The Creativity Cave.  Her video was so fun to watch and very easy to follow.  Thoughtful branches sample

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

I found some note cards that had the hydrangea in blue/purple on them, so that is where my inspiration came from for this next card.  I will avoid using the "grass" stamp included unless it is on a plain background.  I feel it just looked messy.  The background paper is the retired "Typeset Specialty" DSP.

Thoughtful b

This one is by far my favorite.  I had fun working with the dazzling diamonds glitter paper and silver embossing powder (#109131 - forgot to add it to the supply list below).  Again, the white background paper is from the retired "Irresistibly Yours" the leaf pattern.  It is hard to see in the photo.  The sentiment is also from a Sale-A-Bration Stamp set "Simply Wonderful".

So, do you want this stamp and die bundle yet?  Remember it will be only available in August 2-31!  Put on your calendars to order it on Monday - just go to my Shop Now button and order away (bundle # 144328, stamp set #143539, and thinlits set #143538).  I promise you won't be disappointed!  There are so many possibilities!  Take a look at Pinterest ~ there are many beautiful examples of all the stamps and thinlits in the set ~ it is mind boggling!

HOLIDAY CATALOG!  It is coming soon!  If you are one of my customers, you have been put on our mailing list and will automatically get one mailed to you from Stampin' Up!  If you aren't, as soon as I get them in my hot little hands, I will send you one.  Email me at and put in the subject line "Holiday Catalog".  Of course let me know who you are and your address :-)  I got a sneak peek and woo hoo does it have some absolutely fabby things in it!  The catalog goes LIVE September 1st and is good until January 3rd, 2017 (whaatt?? 2017?? geez!)

August 28th is the Creating With Paper gathering and I will be showing off some samples of things from the HOLIDAY catalog for my local gals.  If you are interested in joining our group where ever you are, just follow my blog.  Someday I hope to make some videos here and try a Facebook Live class.  I will keep you updated on that new adventure.

If you wish to purchase anything from the new Annual Catalog that just came out in June, remember this:

July Hostess CodeAdd the July Hostess Code at the end of your order.  I will be giving you the new August Hostess code on Monday!
