Holidays are upon us! Yay!

Boo!  Be Grateful!  Merry Christmas!  Happy New Year!

Wow!  Here they come!  I am very excited this year about all of these Holidays and more!  But first lets see what my Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering did on September 22nd!  We made a tea light Halloween lantern of sorts and two Fall cards that came from the August Paper Pumpkin by Stampin' Up!  I fixed Beef Stroganoff to try and get us in the Autumn Chill mood.  But low and behold it was like 78 that day!  Oh well, we still had fun crafting and filling our tummys.

(You may have to click on the photos to see all of each one.  For some reason, my blog isn't capturing the full photo...eek!)  We always have so much fun at these gatherings.  I wish I could hold them more than once a month, but because I pretty much provide everything for them, it is just too exhausting.  The ladies love it just as much as I do though.

October 1st is bringing on some new things at Stampin' Up!  Demonstrators will get to Pre-Order the BRAND SPANKING NEW Paper Trimmer!  We are all so used to calling it the Stampin' Trimmer, but it is no longer referred to as that!  I am going to order it and a pack of 4 extra blades to try it out!  It still will score in addition to cut, so I am thrilled about that!  Plus!  It is only $25.00!!!  Cheaper than our last one.  Bargain, Bargain, Bargain!!! Here is a sneak peak at it:

Here is a cute video showing the new Trimmer

They do not have a release date for customers yet, depending on how it goes over with DemonstratorsAnother great reason to ask me about becoming a Demonstrator!  These pre-order opportunities just keep coming!  Click on Join The Fun or Join Me for more information on how to become one of my team members!  I would love to help you achieve your Paper Crafting dreams!

Another exciting announcement is October and November's Paper Pumpkin kits are Special Edition Coordinating Kits called Winter Wonders.  If you have never indulged in Paper Pumpkin, now would be the ideal time!  Subscribe by October 10th to get the October kit and why don't you try a 3 month subscription so you are automatically subscribed for November and December kits.  The last few Paper Pumpkin kits have been so cute!  They are changing things up a bit and improving them as per subscribers comments...and boy are they fun now!  They come with everything you need to make cards, a project or use your imagination!  Many post their Paper Pumpkin alternatives on line for you to see and try out.  It's worth a go!  $22.00/month.  Just click on this link to subscribe and learn all about it!

Okay!  One more announcement and I will show you a card I have been working on!  October 1st once again, Stampin' Up! is offering the Pre-Order for Demonstrators the Christmastime Is Here Suite.  Then November 1st it will be available to you the customer.  It is a Christmas Rose and it is a SUITE, so it includes two stamp sets, dies, ribbon, specialty designer paper, gold glitter enamel dots AND a bracelet!  Wowza!  The entire suite will run $112.50 but it is availabe separately or a bundle option (2 stamps sets and 2 coordinating die sets) for $61.00.  Here is a picture of the Suite and several samples made by Stampin' Up!

Now!  A card I recently made.  I have been making several lately, so will hopefully post another in a couple days.  I just love this little Elf named appropriately "Elfie".
No peeking!
Here are the supplies I used...

June is Busting Out All Over!

After a long six months of family medical issues, I am proud to be coming back into the groove of my favorite thing to do!  Papercrafting!!!  I have been steady at it, but haven't had the time to post anything on my blog.

Well, guess what June 1st means?  The New STAMPIN' UP! CATALOG is LIVE!  WooHoo!  Many of you are on my mailing list, so you should have received yours by now.  What a great catalog, isn't it?  If you would still like one, let me know!  I will gladly get one to you!  You can go to the Let's Shop tab if you have your catalog already - shop til you drop!  Ha!

My catalog launch party is June 10 here at the Shedoudy residence.  If you are a local San Diegan and wish to come, let me know and I will include you in the invite!  I placed my big order on June 1st so hopefully I will receive my "stash" in time to make some pretty awesome items to show off some of the new bundles, papers, inks and embellishments!

In May, we had our Craft Day on the 20th.  We made 5 different cards using the Share What You Love Designer Paper (page 177 in new catalog).  I used examples from someone on the Demonstrator Planning Site and I apologize, I forgot to get her name.  Here were the samples I made from her examples.  Whoever you are, THANK YOU for the great inspiration! Her work was much more detailed - she embossed many things.  I kept it pretty simple for my class.

Class sample 1     Class sample 2     Class sample 3
Class sample 4     Class sample 5

Here are pictures of my gals hard at work.  I love these "candid" photos...they sometime look so serious, but really we had a lot of fun!  Note the wine???  Ha!

I showed them all about the new ink pads and the ease of opening..they all loved it.  I only had the in-colors at the time, so we had to use some of the old ink pads so still had the frustrations.  I am glad they are so much easier to open and close, but will have to wait to get all new ones.

So, I will let you all go now and Order, Order, Order from our fabby new catalog.  Have fun!  When you do place your order, remember to use this months Hostess code if your order is under $150.00.  If it is over that amount, you will earn stampin' rewards, so take advantage of those!

Michelle Shedoudy is back Creating With Paper and with Lots of New Information!

Greetings my Paper Peeps!

Yes, I have been AWAY for quite awhile.  Family is first priority and we visited and had relatives staying with us for much of May and most of June!  We are home for awhile, but we already miss our Granddaughters and my cousin and her family very much.  We were as they say "quite the social butterflies" not something we are used to doing, but it turned out we had a wonderful "vacation".

I have to put in a special note about my Granddaughter Emily.  She is on a traveling softball league up in the Berkeley area and her team "The Outlaws" have won every, single one of their games! This winning streak is allowing them to come to San Diego for the softball finals!  We are so very excited that we get to see her and her family again (2 weeks after our visit) and help cheer Emily and her teammates on to what we believe will be a VICTORY!!!  Go Emily!!!

Now it is back to stamping and sharing new things happening in the crafting world and with my favorite company Stampin' Up!  The new Stampin' Up! catalog is out and public. So many fun things in this new catalog.

But wait!  We hear rumblings that the HOLIDAY CATALOG will soon be available!  That deserves a huge Yippee Skippy from me!  Love the Holiday season, so I personally will be looking sooo forward to it!  I will keep you all posted when that will be available.

A quick note: IF you JOIN my TEAM in July, you will be able to take advantage of previewing and pre-ordering from the Holiday Catalog before everyone else!  Just think!  BEFORE anyone even sees the catalog YOU will be able to order and receive your items.  I say "Win Win!"  So, to join my TEAM, click on the "Join Me" button in the right sidebar or the "Join the Fun" button at the top of the blog.  I would love to have you on my team of awesome demonstrators and help you take your hobby wherever you want it to go!!!

Well that is all for today!  I will post again soon, because I am going to have fun "Creating With Paper!"

Creating with Paper doing up some Firecrackers!

As I said in an earlier post, as crafters, we have to be ahead of the game or at least the seasons.  I am still working on Patriotic ideas, but wanted to share with you my Straw Wreath and the Star which I did some embellishing on.

Here are both of them with our traditional Pop display...

Here are closeups of each of them...

The Straw Wreath (which usually connotates a bale of hay or straw!) was so fun to make.  It takes an average of 45 straws, but I think I squeezed in 49.  The most fun was collecting so many different patterns on these drinking straws.  Some are from past years, and many found this year.  A small MDF ring is the middle on which I glued the straws (after painting it navy blue).  Then you can embellish as you wish!  I am a "medallion" fan, so made a bunch and added a few other little items.

The Star will soon have it's partner to display.  But I have so many other things to do at the moment, that will be in June.

Here is a card I made for my groups challenge for this week...staying in the Patriotic Theme..

Word to the wise - May 31st is the LAST day to get anything from the Occasions Catalog.  Also the LAST day to get anything from the 2015-2016 catalog AND the Retired List.  For those of you getting a catalog from me, I will be mailing them out the last week in May, since they aren't "live" until June 1st.

Click on Here to view products online in the Retiring List.

Well, that is it for me.  Hope you all have a wonderful week - we are at Disneyland for several days, having the time of our lives!

Remember to be kind to others and make time to enjoy "Creating With Paper".

We are back!

Hey There, Hi There!

Hope all of you Moms out there had an absolutely fabulous day!  As a Grandmother of three little lovelies, I did!

We took a much needed break - had the Granddaughters and family down for 5 days, and then hubby and I took off and went to Las Vegas to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary.  We had so much fun those two weeks.  Got to have Spa day with all the girls and women of the family, visited the Safari Park in Escondido - formerly San Diego Wild Animal Park, got to play games with the girls - oh my gosh, we were having an absolute blast!

As they drove off, we left for the airport for our 4 day stint in the fine city of Las Vegas.  We took a helicopter ride that took us over Red Rock Canyon and then back over the Strip.  We did the VooDoo Zip Line at The Rio Hotel (that is where we stayed), had a fabulous dinner at the VooDoo Steak House, visited Madame Tussaud's wax museum, went to TI, Venetian, Palazzo, Gold Coast, The Palms, and a couple other hotel/casino's.  All in all, we had a super time.

Now, back to the normalcy of life, right?  First order of business is a bit of Stampin' Up! updates for you.  The new 2016-2017 catalog is OUT!  Yippee Skippee!  It is awesome.  BUT, unless you are a demonstrator (which is easy to be - just click on "Join Me") you won't be able to see it until June 1st!  Here is a sneak peak of the front cover though!

There are 212 pages - it by far is the largest catalog ever for Stampin' Up. The 2016-2018 colors are just absolutely fabby!  Delicious names for them too!  So many new stamps and papers!

The Retired List of Products is still active until May 31, 2016.  To spark your memory, Click on Here to view products online.  Some of the products are already out of stock, but hopefully the ones you want will still be available!  Plus, remember to use the Hostess Code to qualify for a free gift at the end of May!  This code is good for any orders you place on my site through May 31st!

May hostess code

Now, here is a project I did today for a wonderful Stampin' Up! group I belong was our weekly challenge, and since I hadn't been participating for about three weeks, I thought I better do one.  I didn't have time to "stage" the picture, and I am afraid that many of the items used are retired.  So sorry about that, but I wanted to use up some of my older DSP so that I can make room for new things!  Can't wait to get those new products!

May 6 challenge for blog 1
It doesn't show up well, but the "Congrats" is embossed in SU's Gold Embossing Powder.  I did have fun using some glam papers.

Well, that is all for now!  Please, if you have questions or comments do not hesitate to email me or comment - good or bad - I want to hear from you!  I hope you have a wonderful week and remember to make time for "Creating With Paper!"

Stampin' Up! Weekly Deals

Wow!  Every Tuesday, Stampin' Up! has new, remarkable deals.  There are some great ones this week.  Even I am going to take advantage of a couple of them.  Click on "Weekly Deals" to see them all!

If you don't have the "Gift Box Punchboard" (135863), I would highly recommend that you pick that one up!  You can do much, much more with it than just Gift Boxes.  If you have a Big Shot or any manual die cutting machine, the Hamburger Box Die (133724), the Hearth & Home Die (139666), and the Leaflets Framelit Die (138283) are bargains this week.  All three are staples for scrapbooking and card making.  Even making a mixed media project the Hearth & Home Die and Leaflets Die are invaluable.  The Leaflets Die has a coordinating stamp set called Vintage Leaves (138802) that makes your leaves so realistic looking it is uncanny.  I used those two for many projects this last Fall.

The Metal Rimmed Pearls (138394) are a beautiful addition to glitz and glam out any project you are working on.

In future blogs, I will list products that I have used, so you will be able to see how some of these deals turn into great bargains.

If you are interested in using dies and haven't acquired a manual die cutting machine yet, Stampin' Up! sells the Big Shot (113439).  It is a quick, easy way to cut out all sorts of beautiful images.  Many of the dies listed in the Stampin' Up! Store have coordinating stamps.

Check all of these items and more out by clicking the "Let's Shop" button on my blog or "Shop Now" on the top banner.  Also, don't forget to sign up for blog updates.  If you are interested in joining my Creating With Paper team, just click on "Join Me" on the side bar or "Join the Fun" in the header.  You will get Stampin' Up!'s Demonstrator Starter Kit for just $99!  For that price you get:

  • Your choice of up to $155 worth of any current Stampin' Up! products!
  • A business supply pack valued at $50!

That's a total value of $205!  Your kit is completely customizable! Build your Starter Kit your way!

Thanks for visiting, and as always if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Here's to having a great day Creating With Paper!
